SCREENSHOT
Screenshots can be taken with INS key. Screenshots will be found inside C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter\Settings\profiles\graw_profile_name folder. They are huge .tga format, but can ofcourse converted to jpg with programs like Photoshop.

TIPS
SINGLE PLAYER & MULTI PLAYER
  • Shoot under vehicles, through soft surfaces, fence holes and vehicle windows always when it is possible.
  • Reload grenade launcher immediately after you have shot its grenade. This way you may have second grenade ready about the time first one hits target.
  • Open tactical map to see where your hand grenades explode.
SINGLE PLAYER
  • Do not equip AI teammates with hand grenades, they don't know how to use them.
  • Do not equip AI teammates with grenade launcher, because it is very rare that they use it and weapons are more accurate without it.
  • Equip AI teammates with M8 pistol because they never use secondary weaponry and it is the lightest to carry and due that enables soldier to move faster.
  • Equip AI teammates with Zeus always when it is available and use tactical map attack icon to target helicopter or tank for them.
  • After team leader death, press immediately ESC to stop annoying GAME OVER scene.
MULTI PLAYER
  • The team leader can use waypoint marker to mark targets for others.
  • Enter camp from left entrance in mission 6 to prevent disconnect.
  • Do not move friendly tanks in mission 11 to prevent random disconnects.
  • OGR Cooperative press M for map and left click i-icon on right bottom corner to see realtime kills (and how many enemies left)
DISCONNECT/CRASH
In multiplayer if disconnect or crash happens, chat window will show lighyellow message Playername has left the game and the game character will collapse down on the ground. As always disconnects or crashes are not welcome in our games, so we restart if they happen.

In OGR Cooperative missions players who left the game before round ended disappeared from the players list with all their statistics (kills etc.) but however game still logs total kills correctly including kills from those players who left the game too early.

SOME NOTES ON OGR COOPERATIVE
In OGR Cooperative with max deaths 1 new players can join game and play as long as all players are alive.  If one player is dead, new players can still join but they cannot play before new round starts. If a player who died leaves the server and rejoins he can join but not play, but if same player leaves the game instead it is like everyone is still alive and because of that, new players who have not yet played on this round can join game and play. Confusing isn't it, but you can blame Grin for that and not me. This resulted a lot of players joining the server and flooding the chat by nagging why can't they play, apparently Grin guys have not played original Ghost Recon thousands of hours like us, because they didn't even bother to make chat to work in a way that players who are dead or waiting for next round could not chat to alive ones.

11. Laggy Keyboard Response - Sticky Keys
GRAW installed on windows Vista will hang on loading after one round is played and next one is loading. Game has to be shut down and AI player will replace him in weapon selection screen.

If player has Vista, his game is must be rebooted after every round.
Also launching game as Vista admin may help.
Have not been able to tested if WinXP SP3 corrected this thing, since Lumikko started to hate this game because of this bug, when he should hate Vista instead. ;)
In multiplayer death cam showing only empty hands aiming and weapon is hanging on soldiers back. Player can still shoot with these empty hands.

Leader must enter camp from left side of the main entrance and go left behind buildings to wait until video message has ended. After that it is safe to go to the right side of the main entrance too.
MISSION 6 MP will disconnect all but team leader when tanks leave second hangars located after the tunnel. Even dead players will be disconnected in this point.

MISSION 10 MP moving friendly tanks will disconnect player.

Messages to GRIN:
  • If you have no time to test product properly before release you should atleast release patches until bugs preventing proper mission completions are fixed (mission 6).
  • Cooperative MISSION DEBRIEF screen should have included team statistics and not only individual player statistics. Now to collect teamstatistics you have to get screenshot from every player.
  • OGR Cooperative end screen should have included statistics also for players died and left server before round ended (just like in original Ghost Recon).
  • Dead players should not be able to chat to alive players (just like in original Ghost Recon).
  • Record Replay function should have been included (just like in original Ghost Recon).
  • Edit chat messages should have been included (just like in original Ghost Recon).
  • DEBRIEF screens should have been with less distracting backgrounds, better colors and larger fonts. Or can you read that turquise font on that hexagon background with similar type colors?
  • DEBRIEF screens should have included atleast mission name.
  • I have bought GRAW2 too, but fortunately I am still too busy with other games to even install it and  that is good since I have a feeling even more original Ghost Recon functions have been dropped off in it.
