A4000 BT176 QUICK REMOVABLE BATTERY

Everyone who is has ever owned A4000 should know how bad damage old battery at location BT176 will do to PCB and components. Without a battery "Date created" file attribute will always go wrong, because the motheboard has no calendar and clock that could survive power off. To be able to use real calendar and clock again the best thing is to have sepatate battery and battery holder and check battery condition at least once per year.

Requirements:
Instructions:

Desolder or cut old battery off, if it is not already done. Warm each battery feet separately and pull it off from the holes.

Solder battery holder clip to its place. Plus feet has to be installed closest to the motheboard edge. See below example picture of A4000cr Rev D BT176 with CR2032 battery and battery holder.

Only 2 holes of 4 are needed for CR2032 battery and battery holder.

Be careful not to damage PCB surface or nearby resistors while desoldering the old holes and soldering the battery holder.
(Someone had already done some visual damage when I bough this motherboard)
